Are You Ready for the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift is in the UK, Sunday Woman Magazine is reporting live!

The Eras tour Taylor Swift UK

Just a few days to go until we head to Cardiff to see Taylor Swift live on the Eras Tour and we can’t wait!

We don’t even care that new data released showed Cardiff carparks to be the ones most targeted by thieves during Taylor’s tour. We don’t care that it will probably rain. We have glitter, hair gems, cowboy boots and tiny red shorts and we’re ready to shake it off!

I’ve been a fan of Taylor Swift since she was 14 years old. A close friend and photographer had just travelled to Nashville and caught Taylor live on stage. She was hooked and knew I would be too. She brought her first single back with her and we listened on a loop in a tiny flat in Fulford feeling smug that we were part of a tiny club of fans.

Now Taylor is the most popular performing artist in the entire world and she’s grown to superstar status through incredible lyrics, awesome tunes and her own down to earth, genuine, personality. Fame doesn’t seem to have changed her at all and that’s what we love about her. Despite her massive success she’s no Diva. She doesn’t demand skittles be separated, there are no golden loo seats on tour, and she includes every single member of her team when celebrating her success as she knows they deserve it.

She’s an idol, and I’m grateful to have such a role model in my daughter’s generation.

I’m going to Cardiff with my two daughters, 14 and 19. Despite being the OG Taylor fan they have taken the baton and ran with it and now tell me about new songs, new trends, new Taylor news. They have their outfits ready, they know exactly what they’re wearing where as I am hunting down something sweet on next day delivery just days away from the event.

What Shall I Wear to the Eras Tour?

I’m considering paying homage to the sweet 14 year old I met over 10 years ago. Back then she loved country styles, country songs, a cute flowing summer dress with flowers in her hair and natural beach waves. At 45 I think this could be a forgiving style while roomy enough to dance in, cool enough to perspire in! The problem is despite trawling through Next, Monsoon, Oliver Bonas, Superdry, Phase Eight, John Lewis, Debenhams and more I cannot find the perfect dress I’m looking for. Not in my style anyhow. I’ve not even started to look for footwear!

If you have any ideas please get in touch on Twitter or Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. I’m worried I’ll be the only fan not dressed up! I can’t go in linen trousers, a vest top and crocs can I? Or can I?

Either way I’m sure once that music starts and Taylor steps on stage, it won’t matter what I’m wearing. I just want to make memories and see the smiles on my girl’s faces.

Please do get in touch to tell us about your Taylor experience!
