South West Have Sex Twice a Month Compared to North West at Seventeen plus others

The South West seem to be the unluckiest in love in this new survey that may delight or disappoint residents in the area. A poll conducted by a betting platform put paid to all those online averages that claim we should all be having sex at least three times a week.

We like this poll as it separates demographics by location, and, hopefully, eases some peer pressure off those who think they may not be getting enough. It reveals that those in the South West, on average, have sex just twice a month, which is positive or negative depending on how you look at it. There are many reasons why the South west may be the lowest on this list. Living in Devon I can add a few suggestions to this. We’re busy creatures, with lots of friends, good social lives and full diaries. When we do have sex, we make it count, and it lasts longer than the average of 22 minutes.

Maybe if South West sex was so short and sweet, we’d find more time to fit it right in!

Here are the other findings from the poll which suggests that those in Liverpool and Blackpool are getting jiggy with it every other day during any given month. I’d call them lucky but then, I’ve hobbies to pursue…I’m happy with twice a month, thank you.

New research has discovered just how often Britons find themselves getting lucky in the bedroom department, as those in the North West top the list with a whopping 17x love-making sessions per month. According to the poll, those in the South West are the least lucky in the bedroom, having just two love-making sessions during the average month.

Whilst only half of Britons believe in luck, those in the North West find themselves getting lucky in love with their partner on average 17 times per month, closely followed by those in the South East and Northern Ireland. Unfortunately for those in the South West, twice a month is going to have to suffice.

The team at www.BiggestFreeBets.com conducted the research as part of an ongoing study into British attitudes towards luck. 2,499 Britons aged 18 and over, all of whom stated that they were in a committed relationship, were quizzed about how often they ‘get lucky’ in a variety of ways.

Initially all respondents were asked ‘Do you believe in luck?’ to which just over half of respondents, 53%, stated that ‘yes’ they do. When asked if they did anything to boost their luck, a third of those (32%) admitted that ‘yes’ there are things that they do, including ‘abiding by superstitions’ (39%) and ‘carrying a good luck charm’ (33%).

All respondents were then asked how often they ‘got lucky’ with their partner, as well as being asked to state what region they lived in in order to determine regional averages. All of the responses were collated and the results were as follows:

North West – 17x (love-making sessions per month)
South East – 15x
Northern Ireland – 14x
East Midlands – 14x
Wales – 10x
Yorkshire and the Humberside – 9x
West Midlands – 8x
London – 7x
East of England – 5x
North East – 4x
Scotland – 4x
South West – 2x

According to the poll, the average love-making session was revealed as 22 minutes, with the most popular times to do so revealed as ‘in the morning after waking up’ (24%), ‘when in bed at night, before going to sleep’ (23%) and ‘usually under the influence of alcohol’ (17%).

Those who confessed that they typically had sexual relations with their partner first thing in the morning were asked why the morning was their preference. ‘It wakes you up for the day’ (39%) and ‘we’re too tired in the evenings’ (36%) were cited as the most common reasons why.

Ethan Rowe, Editor in Chief of BiggestFreeBets.com, commented:

“Whilst some may be jealous of others for getting lucky in the bedroom more than they do, ultimately sex isn’t the be all and end all of a relationship. There are various factors that make a strong, healthy relationship – but being intimate definitely helps.”
