It’ll soon be here… on our screens.. whatever you think about 50 Shades of Grey soon you won’t be able to avoid it as the second instalment is about to hit our Sky screens…
Christian Grey is the name on every mummy’s lips lately, as the protagonist in the novel 50 Shades of Grey, his warped, complicated sex mad character has driven its way into the hearts of every bored housewife across the globe.
Not one to usually follow the crowd, I made an exception to the rule and with a week’s holiday booked, I bought all three mummy porn novels to see why the women of the playground where in such a spin about this trio of books and the contents. The results were enlightening, surprising, and shocking, making me realise that the majority of us have hidden sexual desires and fantasies that this book allows us to explore. I was in awe and wonder whilst reading, as although the theme appealed to me, being a sexpert on a daily basis, I was dumbfounded but delighted that obviously this approach to sex appeals to the majority of the female population. All of a sudden I imagined husbands receiving a grilling for being boring in bed and not living up to the bondage sexpertise of our modern Mr Darcy that is Christian Grey.
Slight Spoiler Alert
In brief without giving too much away, Ana Steele is a virgin student who appeals to Mr Grey as a potential submissive to his dominant. As he presents a contract detailing his must haves for a sexual relationship she flees, fearing his uses of whips and chains, but completely confused as her body wants him more than any other man she’s ever met.
This begins a series of pull and tug dilemmas (with intrigue, plot twists and ex subs thrown in for good measure), where she must fight to make him see that making love is not about punishment and he must introduce her gently to his room of pain that promises to intensify every orgasm she has.
Do We Crave Suppression?
The fact that so many people of ages 16 to 60 are enjoying this book signifies that although we have come a long way in the terms of women’s rights, deep down many of us are just begging for the man to take control. Just like the bedroom is a safe place to act out sexual fantasies, it’s also the perfect setting for your man to return to his caveman ways, taking control whilst taking you. We all love to be the damsel in distress however in everyday lives, we fear this shows a weakness if we relinquish control, yet bringing a bit of bondage into the bedroom ensures we can now have our cake and eat it, thanks to a candid author by the name of E L James.
Please delve deeper into the Dom and sub and see how you can bring this into your own bedroom with my exquisite exploration to follow.
