The 2018 Grand National starts on Thursday 12 April, culminating on Sunday 14 April with the biggest race of the event starting at 17:15.
An expected 150,000 racegoers are expected to attend over the course of the three-day event.
Aintree hosts the most popular jumps race on the calendar which sees 40 runners take on the 30 fences over four-and-a-half miles. Last year the big race was won by 14/1 One For Arthur, ridden by Derek Fox.
The Grand National 2018 betting odds currently have Total Recall as the 12/1 favourite, closely followed by Blaklion at 14/1 with the Betfair sportsbook. Blaklion had been the favourite a couple of weeks ago prior to the bookmakers taking a lot of bets on the in-form Total Recall.
Bellshill is currently third favourite with odds of 16/1 with several odds being priced at 20/1.
One shouldn’t overlook Blaklion this year as the horse is looking in good shape and running well. The horse finished fourth in this race last year, though did start as the 8/1 favourite. W P Mullins’ Total Recall won at Leopardstown at the start of a February in a 3 mile race featuring 16 horses.
