We’ve been testing the best Christmas decorations to find out where you can buy the cream of the crop this year. It all started with a tree or two from
Christmas Tree World
We usually buy a real tree locally, (which Christmas Tree World also supply) but this year the fake Christmas trees on offer from here caught our eye. We chose the Vesuvius Fibre Optic Tree for the grown up snug, as we honeymooned in Pompeii! We then chose the Warm Devonshire Fir for the playroom, as our offices are in the heart of a Devon forest and so we wanted to bring the outside in. We weren’t disappointed. We’re so excited as we can now bring these out each year, and with a new puppy, we don’t have to worry about needle drop either!
Warm Devonshire Fir
Vesuvius Fibre Optic Tree
This spectacle of a tree is a stand-alone Christmas decoration, requiring no further accessories to bring it to life.
Available in a range of sizes from 3ft. to 8 ft., the green PVC branches offer a range of vibrant coloured fibre optic LED lights, combined with welcoming warm white fibre optic bursts of LED light to provide an excellent value for money tree.
This aesthetically pleasing tree is the perfect addition to any home this Christmas.
Bubblegum Baubles
These Flamingo baubles made a difference to the ordinary Christmas decorations we usually choose to adorn our Christmas Tree. These are just a small selection of what’s on offer and we loved the high quality and almost indestructible nature of the baubles. They’ve also become a talking point.
More Reasons to Shop at Morrisons
Morrisons have really stepped up this year and are showcasing their eye for design in the Nutmeg clothing and now with their decorations. A favourite place of mine to shop, I was impressed with the gold Noel metal bauble and other tree decorations too. They look like real brass and add a touch of posh to the tree. I’ll be keeping an eye on Morrisons over the coming year. They also have a great range of finest foods on offer for Christmas, see these in our food and drink guide.
MacMillan Baubles
The offerings from MacMillan are really thought out and beautiful. We were stunned by the quality and having lost many people to cancer we adore the subtle angel. This will be one to help us remember year after year.
The English Soap Company
We love the English Soap Company and still find it hard to believe that their prices are so low. Their designs are nostalgic and their beautiful soap is a delight.
This bauble makes a great gift but I’ve kept it for myself, I plan to open it on Christmas Eve to use in a festive shower!
Value Lights
Value Lights have a wide range of lights on offer for Christmas, from outdoor snow sprinkles and blossom trees to indoor LEDS. We’ve championed Value Lights in a few posts, as we love their dinosaur lights, along with their light gifts for him.
They are, of course, extremely affordable and the quality is incredible. They’re strong, durable and above all very bright, and they didn’t tangle like other lights. We highly recommend Value Lights, not just at Christmas but all year round.
Landon Tyler Scent of Christmas
Decorations should always smell like Christmas but if they don’t this diffuser will make sure they do. It looks and smells divine. We love it.
Emma Bridgewater
Emma Bridgewater designs are respected by every loving home. This Christmas, we love the plate for Mine Pies. Just £17.95 this is one you’ll be bringing out the cupboard for many years to come.
Dunelm
Dunelm have an incredible range of decorations this year and many that won’t break the bank. They’re all excellent quality so will last year after year and they have a wide array of colour schemes to choose from. We love the midnight bauble sets at just £10 for 50 decorations along with the mistletoe wreath, the light up snowman and presents.
