What I Love and Hate About the Rituals Intuitia Collection

This new Autumn / Winter collection is flying off the shelves. Is it their best yet, or their worst? Let's dive in

Rituals Intuitia Collection DEALS

  • Rituals, John Lewis, Boots
    £11.90 VIEW

As you know I adore Rituals but wasn’t too enamoured with the Dream Collection. You can see the full review in the magazine. I felt Rituals was trying to be something it wasn’t, trying to appeal to a younger crowd with products that seemed quite cheap, such as the Sundae range.

It seems I was not alone. After talking to shop staff in the Rituals store I discovered that the Dream Collection had divided both customers and employees. It really was a love hate scenario, with the younger customers loving it, the more mature of us hating it. It was not their best seller despite what influencers will tell you on TikTok and was removed pretty quickly.

The Intuitia Collection Scarf

I was so excited to see Rituals drop this new sparkling collection. Although I hated the use of AI in the promotional images I did love the sound of the scent. Sandalwood and Vanilla. I’m a huge fan of woody, sweet scents anyhow, with Tom Ford, Black Orchid being my favourite perfume to wear. I also adore clean scents, such as the Karma collection from Rituals too.

The addition of a free gift, a scarf the Queen would be seen wearing, was confusing but welcome. They’d taken this to the extreme, so far departed from the Dream Collection it was hard to spot the relationship at all. The scarf is beautiful and of a high quality, yet from a distance it does scream old lady, rather than mature, fashionable, growing older gracefully. On closer inspection it’s clear that it incorporates more youthful elements, but still, I couldn’t see lovers of the Dream Collection wearing this.

I tried, on their special offer weekend, to buy the Intuitia collection online, taking it to the price where I would receive the scarf and a free shower gel, yet I was using a One4All Gift Card which wouldn’t work. After trying many times the checkout seemed to break and when I was ready to pay with a debit card it glitched. I resolved to go into the store the following day to complete the purchase.

Again, I tried to pay using the One4All Gift Card and was told they were having problems with this. I had to pay in cash. Saving the gift card for another purchase, at another store, that I will review too. There are silver linings everywhere.

Unfortunately I was now too late for the scarf, they’d all sold out. I did get a free gift of the Jing overnight sleep balm (which is absolutely incredible) but as a woman of a certain age who can often rock the Queen look on her country estate I would have loved the scarf.

The Rituals Intuitia Experience

I bought the shower foam, the body scrub and the bath milk. I was so excited to return home to try these new beauties out in the shower. On opening I found the body scrub box to be quite heavy but this wasn’t due to generosity of the product, a large metal key is included so you can roll down the tube to squeeze out every last drop. I’m not a fan of the scrubs in anything but the round jars. The Rituals Alchemy range sported a similar tube and it didn’t impress me much, while the Dream Collection sported a sachet that had only three showers worth of scrub before it was impossible to use. My hopes were low, my standards were high.

The Intuitia Shower Gel

The shower gel looked amazing in the bathroom, back to the traditional Rituals look, and it also smelled divine. This has to be the BEST shower gel Rituals has ever produced.

The Inuititia Shower Gel is the Best Shower Gel Rituals Has Ever Produced

It glides on effortlessly, like all the shower foams do but it also feels so smooth, so silky and is perfect as a shaving cream for legs. There’s something creamier about the foam than previous shower gels. It leaves skin feeling soft and supple, nourished, hydrated and smelling amazing. I love it. Pure Indulgence.

The Intuitia Body Scrub

The body scrub held the same unique, intoxicating scent but was a little bit of a let down due to how fast the sugar melted. Other sugar scrubs, such as the Sakura Collection and Ayurveda last much longer, I can only deduce that the grains are smaller and so dissolve faster. It became more of a wash than a scrub as the grains didn’t have time to exfoliate anything before they disappeared. It was still a luxury experience, still a great product but maybe it should have better scrubbing power to hold its name.

The Review

Rituals Intuitia Collection

4.3 Score

A great limited edition collection, much more in keeping with the Rituals brand. A couple of sticking points but overall a gorgeous range to gift or indulge in this winter.
