We love Mother’s Day as it’s the one day of the year we can expect to be treated as we should be all year round. Of course it doesn’t always go to plan, and we don’t always get what we want, but we can still be positive and hope, that this year we get a day off!

Here are some products we’ve tried and tested and love, so be sure to share it with your children (or partner) or to keep it safe for a bit of shopping for yourself on Monday! You deserve it! (Whether you’re a mother or not!)

Marvellous Mothers Day Gifts

Lush Jelly Bunny Review

Who doesn’t love to open a lovely box of Lush products any day of the year? Mum will thank you for their spring box which includes this marvellous jelly bunny (that smells good enough to eat), three bubble bath carrots, a flower bath tea bag and a bath bomb. (And some sparkly soap). A great present, great value and makes the whole house smell absolutely divine

Bee Venom Mask

If if it’s good enough for Kylie Jenner? No, seriously, why would she need this? Her skin is flawless? Anyhow it does reduce bags, it feels fantastic and tightens fine lines and wrinkles. For the scientific stuff, please read below, any mum (over 30) would be happy to receive it!

Timeless Truths Bio-Cellulose Bee Venom and Royal Jelly Sheet Mask – recently voted gold in anti-ageing at the Pure Beauty Awards 2015. This luxury anti-ageing mask is made with the innovative bio-cellulose cloth – considered to be one of the purest materials on the market toady, derived from the nanoscopic fibres of coconuts. Able to hold 100x its weight in serum, it delivers an intense-dose of hydration, combined with leading ingredients: Bee Venom, hailed as natures alternative to botox. And Royal Jelly, the ‘elixir of youth’. Skin is left hydrated, plumped and smoothed in a mere 20-minute application.

eye mask lowres

Becoming increasingly popular in the UK thanks to celebrities such as Adele, Alexa Chung and Rita Ora all snapping themselves in a sheet mask. To the Victoria Angles swearing by them the night before big shows. And Kylie Jenner revealing the bio-cellulose eye-masks as her ‘Jet-Lag Beauty Secret’.

£7.90 each. £38.50 Box of 5. Available from ttmasks.co.uk.

Ark Body Beautiful Oil

We have always loved Ark’s room diffusers and oils, especially the Loving Spray (see our top ten fragrances article), this time Ark have surpassed themselves with this Body Beautiful oil. Just add a bit to the bath to feel thoroughly indulged and moisturised or apply to warm wet skin to really lock the moisture in. It feels divine and leaves you with the softest skin.

Kiss the Moon Sleep Set

We didn’t test the whole package, just the facial oil. It’s a lovely rich serum that smells great and comes in a lovely package. Nice for a little treat for Mother’s Day.

Fenjal Bath Oil and Shower Wash

Younger mums should be introduced to fennel as this timeless classic still softens skin and unwinds tired minds. We were skeptical as our grandmas used it but it really does rival any luxury bath oil of our current times.

Bomb Bath Bombs

These little cuties are great as a present from a toddler to a mummy. Rope in Dad and give mum a box of these with a token for a 2 hour bath all to herself!

Magnitone Pink

Spoil her on Mothers Day with the ultimate girly gift! The Luxurious Magnitone London Barefaced! Vibra-Sonic Daily Cleansing Brush comes in a lovely dusty pink, perfect for the occasion. RRP £70 – available from Magnitone.co.uk

Vidal Sassoon Wrap Wand

Whether your hair is long or short, wavy or straight you can create the perfect curls using the Vidal Sassoon Easy Wrap Wand. RRP £29.99.
Vidal Sassoon Easy Wrap Wand has a unique conical barrel which features a non-slip texture. This will help you to create loose curls, gorgeous spirals and bouncy waves.

Tesco Biscuit Decorating

BISCUIT DECORATING SET, £4
This buttery biscuit is a great canvas for your own special message to mum. Leave kids in charge with these edible icing pens and let their imaginations run riot. Mum will be blown away by this personalised gift.

Misfit Shine2

Show your mum how much you appreciate her this Mother’s Day with an unconventional gift – Misfit’s Shine 2 fitness and sleep tracker.

The Shine 2 is a stylish and practical gift able to track your mum’s everyday activity – converting the data into steps taken, distance walked and calories burned on the app. The ‘activity tagging’ feature on the app is great for mums who play tennis regularly or are part of a running club.

Its halo of rainbow-coloured LED lights illuminate to show progress, the time and text & call notifications. The Shine 2 has a vibrational motor, to give her an encouraging nudge when she’s been inactive for too long and is water resistant up to 50m, so she can wear it in the pool. It also never needs to be charged thanks to coin cell battery which can last up to 6months before needing to be replaced.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the Shine 2 can be worn on the wrist with the original sport band or if your mum already has a favourite watch she can conveniently place it on her collar, sleeves, waistband or even in her pockets with the clasp.

Sainsburys Bits and Bobs

Nelson’s Arnicare Bath & Massage Balm

As a luxurious dual-purpose balm, it’s perfect for massaging into tired muscles or pouring into a bath to create a gorgeous fragrance that will help mum to relax and unwind after a busy day. The natural properties of Arnica montana extract and sweet scents of Lavender and Grapefruit essential oils are ideal for calming senses and melting away tension. It’s also enriched with Evening Primrose and Sweet Almond oil making it the perfect pampering treat. https://www.nelsonspharmacy.com/shop-online/brand/arnicare

TrackR

If you can’t afford to buy mum a Chanel handbag this Mother’s Day you can afford to make sure she doesn’t lose the one she buys for herself! TrackR is incredible, a must have for anyone that takes prized possessions, such as a phone, handbag or keys, with them to work everyday.

It’s easier to use than any other tracking system and is small and discreet.TrackR is also working with the luxury brand Mezzi which provides handbags and wallets. All their products integrate a crowd-sourced GPS TrackR with replaceable 2-year battery so you can locate your bag at any time. This item could notably be a nice gift too: https://shop.mezzi.com/collections/cosima/products/cosima-earth

A Bit of Booze!

Champagne Breakfast

Bring delight to the start of your mum’s special day with a homemade champagne breakfast. The Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut (£10.99) is a delicious crisp Champagne embodied with flavours of baked apples. Pair a glass with scrambled egg and smoked salmon to serve up a breakfast fit for a queen.

Lunchtime Luxuries

Cooking up a storm for mum this year? Aldi’s Exquisite Collection Argentinian Malbec (£5.99) offers aromas of plums and blackberries, overlain with subtle violet notes giving a long and intensely fruity finish. This Malbec is a versatile dinner accompaniment enhancing the flavour of both lamb and beef dishes helping you deliver the ultimate dining experience.

The Proof is in the Pudding

Delight your mum with a bottle of Ballycastle Irish Country Cream (£3.75 – 70cl). Whether enjoyed over ice, added to warm coffee or served over a scoop of velvety vanilla ice cream, she’s sure to love this luxurious blend of dairy cream and the finest triple distilled Irish Whisky.

WildCard

Developed in conjunction with top bird experts and designed specifically for Blue Tits, House Sparrows and Great Tits, Elho’s Corsica BirdGarden will delight generations of bird enthusiasts.
