Martina Mercer caught up with Glen Carloss, of Tattoo Fixer’s fame, to ask the ten probing questions. Glen was an absolute pleasure, with a cheeky smile and a twinkle in his eye. His love for his best friend is infectious.

Find out why we were so bowled over by Glen and his easy going personality with his answers to our questions below. If you’d like to learn even more about him, tune in to Tattoo Fixers on E4!

  1. What is your earliest childhood memory?

My Earliest childhood memory is being on a merry go round in France with my older sister. You won a free ride if you were able to grab a fuzzy ball that hung from the ceiling whilst on your way round. We managed everytime! I got a tattoo to represent this as it’s a fun first memory!

  1. Who was your best friend at school, please describe them. Are you in touch now?

My best friend at school was a lad called Adam Langley. He taught me every single swear word he knew. I used to go home and ask my mum what the words meant. I was only 7. She hated him! haha

  1. Did you have a trouble free teenage life? If not, why?

My teenage life was trouble free! My parents always thought I was up to no good because I had an attitude and I hated school but I kept myself out of trouble! To be fair I can barely remember my teens, Feels like a long time ago now!

  1. What has been the biggest change in your life so far?

The biggest change in my life has been learning how to tattoo. Its kept me so grounded and focused over the past 5 years and its opened so many doors for me in life. Its allowed me to travel the world, make life long friends and now landed me on TV! It’s the best job in the world and I’m grateful to be doing what I love every single day. That’s the secret to a happy life.

  1. Have you made any enemies along your way? How have you dealt with them?

Im not aware of any enemies I’ve made although that’s not to say they arent out there! I try and maintain good relationships with everyone I meet as I like to be known for being a nice person! Don’t get me wrong im sure I’ve got strong competition within the tattoo industry, but hopefully no enemies!

  1. Do you have a best friend? Who is it?

I’m lucky enough to have two best friends! My pal Robbie Hopkins has been my best friend now for a good 12 years. He’s helped me through a lot in life and been a huge support to me ever since I started tattooing! I’m lucky to have him. My other best friend is my Rescue dog, Monkey! That dog has got a stronger personality than any human I have ever met and he makes me smile every single day. I’d be lost without him!

  1. If we were to grant you a wish to change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I don’t think I would change anything! I’d give the wish to someone else who needed it! Im pretty happy with the way I am to be honest! Haha suppose I could always be better at tattooing but then I can work at that!

8. What do you think is the key to happiness?

The key to happiness is finding something you are passionate about and making a living from it! If you wake up everyday looking forward to going to work then its not a job. It’s a hobbie that you get paid for. If this doesn’t work, then rescue a dog. That’s the other key to happiness!

9. What makes you get out of bed in the morning?

The excitement of doing a really cool tattoo in the comfort of my own tattoo studio! And spending another day giving my dog the best life possible! If it wasn’t for these two things I’d stay in bed all day with a pizza

10. What are you doing currently? Please briefly describe your busiest day.

Ive just finished with filming for Tattoo Fixers series 4 which is out in October on E4! So for now im back to reality in my tattoo studio relaxing and doing some fun tattoos! Filming for tattoo fixers was great fun but a lot of hard work! So I’m happy being back to studio life for now!
