We tested out the Piatto Oro outdoor rug in blue from the Rug Seller, as we were sick of buying rugs online from eBay and Amazon, even Asda, and being disappointed when they turned up. It’s so important to find a vendor you can trust, with products you know you’re going to love and be impressed by. The commitment to quality from these companies should not be underestimated, as there are so many selling shabby, threadbare, wrinkled rugs and low quality home furniture online and deceiving with a fancy image (which is the main reason we try everything we recommend). The Rug Seller blew us away with their Trellis outdoor rug and we tested it over the summer, then forgot to bring it in as the nights drew colder. It’s stood up to the weather, it hasn’t distorted, it hasn’t turned mouldy and it’s not patchy. It looks so good that we’re tempted to bring it inside for the winter and would be proud to show it off in the home. It’s also very easy to clean should muddy footprints adorn it, and easy to shake out. It’s heavy so it doesn’t slip or wrinkle in the middle and the colours are vibrant too.
The rug is attractive enough to use indoors yet durable enough to transform outdoor spaces. It’s a great rug for all year round. We’d highly recommend using it on decking or a patio in the summer, then bringing it in to add warmth to a conservatory or boot room in the winter. However, you can leave it outdoors all year.
