Summer Styles You’ll Be Wearing on the Beaches in 2025

May 29, 2025

It’s been a long winter and that is evident on the catwalks of Paris and Milan this year as models have emerged from dismal cocoons into bright, colourful butterflies.

2025 is set to be the season of fun as an array of colours hit the rails making the drabbest of outfits seem light and free.

Here’s a quick rundown on this season’s colours, how to wear them and where to find them. Some of these colours may surprise you.

Sky Blue

Yes, sky blue is making a comeback however it’s a little lighter than last time, more of a pastel shade which is beautiful but can be unforgiving. It looks great as a long flowing maxi skirt, a cute pair of sandals, a swimming costume or halter neck top however, as a coat or blazer it may scream holiday park entertainer. We adore the sky-blue handbags with the mademoiselle lock from Chanel right now, while a shiny pair of sky blue heels look amazing on bronzed legs.

Barely Butter

What is barely butter? It sounds like a new colour, and it is. It’s basically cream with a slight yellow hue. You can get away with this colour on anything. From blouses to shirts, trousers to heels, this is a lovely warm summery colour that cleans up any outfit. It also goes great with the sky blue above.

Candy Pink

Pink has been peeking onto the runways for a couple of years now, but it looks like it’s finally made a full entrance with this pastel shade. Paired with the blue it reminds me of the pistachio and lavender combination of the early 2000’s but that doesn’t mean it’s awful, it’s pretty. You may want to break it up with a little barely butter though. Candy pink is such a lovely colour, it won’t hide many sins, but it will light up a room. Be daring and try it out in evening wear, you won’t regret it.

Mocha Mousse

This almost bronzed mocha is refreshing and just dark enough to add some professionalism to the colours listed above. It looks great as a work suit, a blouse, a belt or you can go all in, have a mocha blush outfit with the pastel colours as accessories. They all match perfectly.

Back to School

Varsity jackets, oversized hoodies, blazers and football sweaters are all the rage in 2025 giving millennials some nostalgia as they reach mortgage paying age! This is a lovely, relaxed look that can remind you of summers playing hockey and watching the school rugby team, it’s also super comfortable too.

Silver and Gold

All that glitters isn’t gold, so is it silver, or is it gold? The experts are undecided on which of these precious metals will dominate 2025 so it’s fair to say choose the one YOU love the most. Following fashion is great but in the end your clothes display your personality, not someone else’s. Don’t be afraid to be different. As Miuccia Prada said, “We’re basically directed by algorithms so anything we like.. is because other people are instilling it into us.”
