Submissions this year have been out of this world, while we’ve come across some absolute beauties in our day to day lives too. This week and next we’ll be filling this page with all the glorious products we’ve discovered, products you must have for yourself (forget the gifting part!) in order to feel fully rejuvenated, pampered, special and blessed.

From skincare gifts to cosmetics, healthy superfood gifts and bath and body presents we have it all, right here.

As a little hint, we’ve a fabulous peeling system that uses a paint roller, a scrub that takes you to the lemon groves of Cyprus and cosmetic brushes that gently caress the skin, leaving any makeup looking flawless. We’ve got a shampoo that smells like the honeyed notes of Jo Malone’s body scrub, a toothbrush that leaves your mouth fresh, minty and hydrated and a mask that utilises red light therapy to deliver some downtime while lifting jowls up.

That’s not all.

Keep checking back and don’t forget to subscribe to see what we’re so excited about in our biggest beauty gift guide of 2024. Remember, if it’s not in the Sunday Woman Guide, it’s not worth having!

Crystal Clear Paint and Peel

As mentioned, this product uses a paint tray and a paint roller to help you apply it to the skin effortlessly and it’s the most ingenious product we’ve seen of late. We adore it. Not only does it take just four minutes to get to work, it leaves skin so soft and nobble free after the shower, it’s the perfect way to exfoliate. It doesn’t sting like some can, and it isn’t a sticky residue either, it washes off with ease and takes all of your dead skin with it. This has won our Best New Brand Award as it is one you must try if you love silky smooth skin.

Propolis Shampoo and Conditioner from SBC

We mentioned a product that smelled like Jo Malone’s signature body scrub and this is it. Gorgeous notes of fresh sweet honey and a lather that leaves you feeling thoroughly cleansed. It’s best to use with a styling spray afterwards as it cleans so well it leaves hair quite flyaway but it’s forgiven because of that beautiful scent!

SBC Propolis Shampoo and Conditioner

TRTL Travel Pillow

The TRTL Travel Pillow is a must for anyone who needs their beauty sleep while travelling or even while up with a congested baby that needs to stay upright! We’ve all had those nights where you need to elevate your head to get a good night’s rest, whether it’s your cold or your childs. Neck pillows are ok but leave you with a crick in your neck while those full support ones are bulky and hard to carry. This is lightweight, easy to store and lets you snooze without the pain in the next. You can even look quite elegant. We love it. Just don’t wear it at the desk or you will find yourself nodding off.

The best travel pillow

Oscar Charles Make Up Brushes

This cosmetic brush set from Oscar Charles is the ultimate luxury set that glides makeup onto the face and allows you to create perfect, flawless finishes with ease. It looks amazing on a desk or dressing table and is conveniently stored in the elegant black leather case, making it easy to keep all of your decadent brushes in one place. Bristles are soft and forgiving when needed and harder, when required, for detail. There is a complete set so you can contour your entire face, add eyeshadow, lip gloss and create stunning effects. It’s the perfect gift for a makeup enthusiast or someone you know who needs to replace their brushes fast.

The Bath Project

This box delivers all you need to carve a little time for me. In such a fast paced world these days we need escapes that are not screen related and The Bath Project has this nailed. The ritual begins as you receive the box, your recipient will be thrilled, and then take gentle, healing steps through the process of luxury bathing in your own bathroom. It’s not just a gift of love, it’s a gift of time, it really does say, “You’re special, you deserve this.” It’s a box of magic that makes you stop, breathe, and reset those batteries. We tried the sensitive formulation but are keen to try the Ritual collection. We will let you know our thoughts as soon as our review is complete. If you have sensitive skin, or know someone who does, hop on over to The Bath Project and give this gift of love.

Rumi Cosmetics

There has been a significant gap in the market for cosmetics for more mature skin. Charlotte Tilbury tried, then used younger models in fear of polarising her products. Trinny is getting there and does wonders for confidence, yet we’ve not yet tried the products but Rumi Cosmetics fills the gap perfectly. Blush, mascara, brow gel, eyeliner, all with more mature, possibly sensitive, definitely finer skin in mind. It’s so easy to apply, looks completely natural and doesn’t clog the pores. It’s a miracle. We’re overwhelmed with this brand, so much so we’ve begged them to launch foundations. The packaging doesn’t scream “mature women” yet the products complement with beauty. Rumi is a gift that will keep on giving all year. Rumi wins our Top Product Award!

Blush for mature skin

Tropic Skincare

Do you remember, in the 90’s, when The Body Shop was still great, packed full of natural ingredients and you could feel them on your skin? You actually felt better for using them, skin would be clear and they’d wash away gently, leaving no nasty residues? Today, The Body Shop barely sets itself apart from any other budget bath and body brand but those nineties memories are still alive. I met Anita Roddick once or twice and had a personalised tour around her factory in Littlehampton, just at the point where she’d been advised to start cutting costs. Anyhow. The Body Shop used to sell a creamy, pineapple face wash in a tub, that actually smelled like pineapples. It was incredible for acne as the natural acid in the pineapple would act as an antiseptic while the cocoa butter would nourish the skin. They also had a pure oat exfoliator for the body that used real oats to scrub away the dead skin cells, further more, you could buy it in a huge bottle so you’d never run out.

Tropic have taken the lead where The Body Shop left it. Their pineapple, mint body wash is exquisite, while their lemon dry body scrub is out of this world. Just two products we’ve tried so far and they’re so natural, so pure, but so aromatic that you really do feel like you’re giving your body a break from chemicals and treating it the way you would should you be stuck on a fruit rich dessert island. Keep an eye on these guys, helped along by Sir Alan Sugar, he knows a sure thing when he sees it.

Tropic, we love you, just don’t compromise on those ingredients!

Suri Sustainable Toothbrush

Talking of natural products, this toothbrush entered our atmosphere and we urge you to buy it! It’s completely sustainable, as a 40 day battery life and the heads are made from plants! Now, let’s be honest, after all, that’s what Sunday Woman is, honest, often to the point of brutality (someone has to be), when a product says it’s sustainable, when it’s made from plants, whether it’s food or cosmetics, we always expect to compromise a little, whether that’s on taste or functionality but not anymore. There are a small handful of companies that have realised this, they’ve tested, created, recreated and come up with a product that’s BETTER than plastic, BETTER than meat (I’m no vegan but see our food and drink guide), and SURI is one of them. We applaud you Suri. Not only do you look amazing, our teeth do too, thank you!

Suri Sustainable Award

Billie Eilish Perfume

Ok, bit of a wild card here. A mature-ish magazine reviewing a perfume by a popular twenty something artist, BUT, it’s actually lovely. On the last topic of sustainability, Billie is doing more for our planet than any other artist out there right now. I’m sorry, Taylor Swift, I love you, but five minute private jet flights will not help us! I’ve learned about Billie through my daughters and found her to be an incredible role model for young girls today. She wears comfortable clothes, isn’t afraid of judgement, she does her own thing, and isn’t afraid to be herself. She’s a huge animal lover and adores her family, most of her music is produced by her brother, and she’s just such a wonderful young human being that it makes sense she’d launch a perfume that people want to display, that they want to wear, that looks great on a shelf and lasts a really long time. Buy it for you or the tween in your life, you won’t regret it, just keep an eye out for the dice!

The best deal is at Perfume Direct, with super fast shipping too!

Silk N LED Face Mask

Red light therapy is becoming popular as people believe it to help with moods, mental health, brain function all the while rejuvenating skin, delivering energy and reducing wrinkles. It’s magic in a coloured LED. It takes a few weeks to feel the effects but many are championing this illuminating therapy as a way to support their immune systems and skincare regimes every day. The best product we’ve found to experiment with this is the Silk N LED mask. It doesn’t blow the bank and you can try other coloured LEDs too. It’s very easy to use, and simple to store and is high quality so should last a long while. If you’re interested in red light therapy and think it may help you, this is the mask to buy.

Wicked Pyjamas from Peter Alexander

If you want to look instantly beautiful as you wake on Christmas morning pop over to Peter Alexander and choose from their range of quirky, yet luxurious pyjamas. Their Wicked two set is absolutely divine, it feels so soft on the skin and has an emerald green shimmer that’s not gaudy, more elegant. We adore them. Yet to try the rest of the range from Harry Potter to the Grinch but if these are anything to rate them by they will become our firm favourite for pyjamas and loungewear. Gorgeous.

Horl 2 Sharpener

This may seem like a strange addition to a beauty gift guide but you will thank us as it is a game changer for anyone serious about beauty, grooming and using the very best tools for the job. Initially, upon receiving the Horl sharpener with its attractive stand and wooden effect exterior I placed it firmly in the kitchen. I sharpened all the knives using the unique rolling technology and diamond crystals and was duly impressed with the results. Soft tomatoes have nowhere to hide, my knives now slice through them like butter. Then, I realised I needed to invest in a new pair of tweezers. I don’t use any tweezers, I stick to elite brands such as Tweezerman, Rubis, Swiss. On the back of my new tweezers was a free gift, free sharpening of any pair bought within the last twelve months. This gave me an idea. I didn’t have time to trek back to Exeter to claim the gift but surely I could sharpen these myself? I tried it, and wow, every pair of tweezers I own now function as if just out of the box, so I didn’t stop there. Nail scissors, hair scissors, clippers, they all received the Horl treatment. So although some may think this sharpener is best suited to our food and drink guide, it actually sits very prettily right here, in our best beauty gift guide, as it transforms all the tools you use everyday to keep unwanted fuzz away! It’s tricky to use on tweezers but once you have the angle right it works and will save you a fortune.
