We love Easter, it’s just another reason to celebrate. From the Easter Egg hunt to the roast dinner we love everything about it.

This year we’ve been exploring Easter baskets. A trend that started in America but has made its way across the pond. The idea is, children are given an Easter basket full of toys and treats instead of the usual plathora of Easter eggs (which I must admit my children leave in a cupboard for a year!)

From a grown up boozy lunch to the perfect Easter basket, and even gifts for those further afield (such as distant relatives- Easter really is a good time to reach out and stay in touch), we’ve got it all in our Easter Gift guide for children and adults.

Let’s start with the old favourites, chocolate Easter Eggs and treats!.

Cadbury

There’s a rumour going around Facebook from the alt-right claiming Cadbury have removed the word Easter from their packaging as they worried about upsetting people. This is total nonsense created to energize a group of closet racists. We won’t get political on such a lovely Easter gift guide but we will say, Easter is here to stay, and Cadbury prove it with their extensive range of yummy treats this year.

Mini Eggs

I made mini egg cookies with these, they were snaffled in seconds. There’s so much you can do with these Easter treats that it really wouldn’t be Easter without them.

Relax a little longerWe'd love your views on these

2017 Gift Ideas for Under 10 Year Olds – Not Your Usual Gift Guide

November 7, 2017

At the risk of sounding like an advertisement, (we receive no money from promoting products on these guides) here’s all the varieties on offer this Easter:

One of Cadbury’s most treasured treats at Easter, Cadbury Mini Eggs are a crunchy bite of chocolate delight that keeps everyone happy. So whether you’re a nibbler or simply love to snack, with a whole range of sizes there’s plenty of variety for you to choose from. You can also get creative with your baking and try your hand at making Easter nests by following the on pack easy to follow recipe*, or simply pop them on top of a Easter cake, or straight in your mouth, Cadbury Mini Eggs are a multiple purpose irrestible treat for any Easter occasion.
Available in handy sharing bags, in tubes or gifting eggs – there’s plenty to choose from! We loved every single one!

Galaxy Golden Egg

Give the ultimate chocolate gift this Easter with the GALAXY Golden Eggs Collection!

Filled with your silky favourites, the golden egg contains: two bags of GALAXY Golden Eggs, two bags of GALAXY Caramel Mini Eggs, four GALAXY Caramel Filled Eggs and four GALAXY Bubble Filled Eggs.

So whether you’re treating yourself to this glorious golden egg, or giving the gift of gold this Easter, the GALAXY Golden Eggs Collection is ideal for sharing with friends and family with it’s individually wrapped treats – just make sure you get your eggs first!

The GALAXY Golden Eggs Collection is available now from Tesco. RSP £8.

Carluccio’s

Carluccio’s Easter gift collection comes packaged in spring-like colours using abstract images associated with the season and inspired by the iconic Italian brand, Fiorruci. You’ll find the traditional Italian Columba cake; buttery fruit cake with sultanas and candied peel, or the brand new sugared eggs box, a selection of dark chocolate eggs which come in pastel coloured crispy sugar shells made in Milan.

*All available in-store and online https://www.carluccios.com/menus

Healthy Chocolate Spread

Dare we say it, this tastes better than Nutella, and with so many varieties, we can’t help but fall in love. Do seek out Wyldsson’s personalisable Hazelnut and Cocoa spread (or their version of Nutella, with no refined sugar, half the fat and twice the protein) or there are excellent hampers and personalisable trail mixtures to kick start a healthy new year.

Paul’s

Celebrate the fun and festivities of Easter, or Pâques as it’s known in France, with French artisan bakery and patisserie PAUL’s collection of stylish yet playful treats. From indulgent cakes and chocolate treats, to carefully-crafted unique breads with an Easter twist, including a Carrot and Hazelnut Loaf, these charming delights are perfect to share with friends and family and will be available online and across all PAUL shops from Tuesday 28th March. Whether you’re looking to spoil sweet-toothed enfants, break – chocolate – bread with a friend or simply indulge your inner chocoholic; there is something for everyone.

Tetley’s Cookies and Cream Tea

Tetley’s new Indulgence range consists of four flavours; Chocolate Mint, Cookies & Cream, Gingerbread, and Spiced Apple, all blended with the finest Kenyan black tea. Each variant is bursting with flavour and at just 2 calories per cup is the perfect guilt-free replacement for your coffee shop latte, as a majority of us seek out more luxurious hot drink options! In addition to this, the range is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, meaning everyone can indulge in this delicious new collection.

Toys and Games

The CEWE Photoworld Easter Bunny

A great easter present the kids will love is the CEWE Photo Bunny.

DC Super Friends Slingable

A fun twist on the traditional game of catch, the DC Super Friends Slingable Fun Sounds Super Friends (RRP £7.99) feature cool oversized fists and flowing capes, which look awesome when they are flying through the air! Fun ‘comic book’ super character sounds activate when they are caught, making them great fun for kids and adults alike! There are three to collect – choose from Batman, Superman and The Joker – and they are suitable for outdoor and indoor use, making them fantastic fun for parties!

Movie Night

The Giles and Posner Popcorn maker!

Making popcorn has never been easier or cleaner than with this popcorn maker from Giles and Posner!

A Grand Day Out!

Last year we visited Paulton’s Park Lost Kingdom and had one of the best days out in years while staying at the Hilton Southampton for convenience. This year we visited Flamingo Land in North Yorkshire and were bowled over by all the improvements, the zoo and the luxury accommodation. Flamingo Land must be one of the biggest theme parks in the world as it takes more than a day to see it all., We stayed in an incredibly luxurious Boston Lodge that was a sophisticated home from home. The zoo is amazing with shows throughout the day, allowing you to get closer to the animals. The marvellous rides are fit for all ages while there’s always something going on. We really can’t champion it enough and even booked an extra two days to see more and more. If you do visit Flamingo Land be sure to book a full weekend, as one day is nowhere near enough to see it all. Whatever you do this half term, whether you’re in the North or the South, you will enjoy a fabulous day out at one of these two wonderful theme parks, fun for the entire family.

Go By Train

If you’re travelling, ditch the car like we did and choose a family and friends railcard. You can see the whole of the UK together, for very little money, saving you petrol and the stress of driving in Easter traffic. Extremely convenient and such a fun way to travel, as you can play with the children and relax while letting someone else take care of the steering wheel. Alongside this, the railcard also entitles you to big discounts on attractions and family outings, making it a must have for the Easter and summer holidays!

The Perfect Recipe

The Folio society are republishing some old favourites right now and we love this book Gastronomical Me, it’s a real feast for the senses while giving great insights into what life used to be like, We love it and it looks fabulous on a bookshelf, a real investment.

A Bit of Booze

Easter lunch wouldn’t be the same without a bottle of wine. We’ve chosen those that embody spring and are fresh, fruity and fabulous. A real ray of sunshine.

Black Tower is the best-selling wine brand from Germany, which offers a variety of products including the B By Black Tower range, which offers wines with low calorie and low alcohol content in either the B Fruitiful selection (fruity wine combo) or B Secco to choose from. Ideal for a guilt free treat after all of the Easter eggs! J Among the core range, they also have Black Tower Fruity White, Smooth Red and Silvaner Pinot Grigio as an addition for the perfect movie night.

Lambrini Hearts and Flowers

A lovely bubbly that’s clean and fresh and also looks great on the dining table.

Wines without a Hangover from Natural Vine

They taste great and they promise not to give you a hangover, we can’t think of a better gift this Easter
