Let’s start with the serious stuff!
Alcosense Pro
No one with a conscience wants to drink and drive, no one wants to be over the limit which is why this device is not only handy, it can save lives. Just one puff and you’ll know if you need an Uber after that glass of office punch (who knows what was in it?) You’ll also know if you’re still over the limit the next morning, following the office Christmas party. This device puts you in control, allowing you to enjoy yourself free from doubt, free from fear of having one too many. It’s a must have tool for anyone driving and enjoying a few drinks this Christmas.
OpenSwim Pro
Another Pro, these blew our minds. Maybe we’re a little long in the tooth but we did not know technology had advanced so much that you can listen to your favourite tunes while swimming! Even as you duck underwater Taylor Swift still belts out, “Shake it Off.” It’s a revelation. They work with your phone so can access any playlist you have, they even connect to MP3 players. You’ll have no loss of sound and can swim to the rhythm of your favourite tracks. This is a game changer. In Switzerland they play music that you can only hear underwater. As you swim in the pool you feel the beat but only hear the lyrics when you dip your head. Swimming and music should go together however it’s always been a sacrifice. A huge ghettoblaster on the side of the pool? A phone that may get wet? Dipping in and out of lyrics? The OpenSwim Pro team ensure you have no loss of sound whether you’re an under or over water swimmer, a diver or a floater.
Amazefit Watch
If ever there was a watch so aptly named it’s this one. Yes, we’re waxing lyrical about amazing tech in this article but that’s because we’ve tried and tested it all and brought you the very best, including this watch. This is one for the girls really, as it tracks cycles and hormones alongside all the usual, steps, sleep, heart rate, health. With this watch you don’t need anything else. A note from our editor, “I was tracking my steps using the Health app on my phone. Every day I’d be disappointed in myself for not doing more. On top of this my doctor asked me to track my heart rate and blood pressure so I looked for a pedometer that would also measure health. I found, wearing the watch, that my steps are actually double what I thought. I often leave my phone in one room as I zip around the house cleaning or nipping into the garden and back again. I’m still introducing myself to the other features, the hormones, the cycles, which will be invaluable but I already love this as it fits snugly, it has a super simple interface and has all the information I need to keep track of my health.”

GLocalMe Unicord
We love this unicorn as it not only charges laptops, phones, tablets but also connects to cloud wifi no matter where you are to deliver free roaming to your device. We found it a little too powerful for an iPhone 15 – with a warning telling us so on the device but fine for laptops and iPads. It charges quickly and is great for getting wifi to devices when on the road. A great gadget for any traveller or anyone that can’t live without the internet for a while!
