Could Waist Training Corsets Make You Slimmer?

October 20, 2016

It feels like summer is here already and many of us have been optimistic and hidden the hoodies, the knitted jumpers, the cardigans and sweatshirts, pulling out old favourites from last summer. When you choose designer fashion you’ll find you have classic staples that you can wear with confidence year after year, accessories that always stand the test of time, yet to be completely on trend, it’s perfectly acceptable to treat yourself to this season’s fashion items too.

2025, as we’ve already explored, is the year of colour. Of candy pinks and mocha mousses. Of turquoise seas and red tomatoes. Almost anything goes, as long as it’s not drab and uninspiring.

Now we know what colours to choose, what styles should we wear to the beach this summer? What’s in, what’s out? What’s hot, what’s not?

Crochet is In

Crochet has been making a comeback for a while and this year it is here to stay. The perfect way to add a little warmth without covering up your beautiful figure. To wear it well choose crochet beach cover ups, light crochet shawls and wraps that use only one fabric and adornments out of metal or wood. Try to avoid those items that have crocheted patches or mix with unnatural fibres such as polyester.

A knitted cover up looks great on a summer’s evening with a bikini underneath. Just the right amount of skin on show, modesty protected but still sensual and alluring.

Love It or Hate It Leopard Print is in

Leopard print can look classy, but it can also look brassy. There’s an art to choosing leopard print clothes and accessories and making them look incredible. We’re here to help you with that. Cheap, over produced fabrics in leopard print with bad tailoring create outfit disasters, if you dare to wear the print, invest in designer items, the high-quality stitching, the attention to detail and the smaller spots clustered more closely together.

If you’re a little too afraid of sporting the big cat you can choose leopard print accessories such as the new Dolce and Gabbana leopard print belt, or some Miu Miu Leopard print sunglasses. However, you wear it, wear it with confidence, a little bronzer and some shimmering gold.

Boxer Shorts

Hot pants will always rule every summer be them denim, velvet (yes that was a thing a decade or two ago) or linen. This year’s focus is on cotton which makes the shorts look exactly like men’s boxer shorts. There is an advantage to this, they’re so light they’re easy to pack and are very cool in the summer heat. Washed denim colours and pinstripes seem to be the norm.

Massive Pendant Necklaces

In 2025 many are finishing off their outfits with huge pendent necklaces on string, wire or lace. You can pair this with another trend, rosettes. The bigger the better where pendants are concerned, try some out and see how they elevate your style.

A Pop of Red

To instantly lift a 2025 outfit try experimenting with the red tomato colour that’s popping up everywhere. From shoes, to belts, to pendants and handbags you can be right on trend just by sporting a little of the colour red.

Whatever style you choose this 2025 we want to see it. Go your own way or incorporate any of the styles we’ve mentioned above. Let us see your style on instagram or Facebook. We’re always looking for inspiration.
